How to make Tiles transparent?

I'm talking about the start menu tiles... Is there a way to make them like half transparent like the tiles in the bottom of the action center?

You could follow the instructions in the link below to create custom tiles.
You can only do so with .exe programs, though.

(Mine matches my accent color and looks fully transparent but you could change the color a few shades either way)
