@Hopachi I just had to get GAP again, as I reinstalled GIMP, and found a download here: GAP-2.6 for Gimp 2.6-Windows by photocomix-resources on DeviantArt

    It comes with extras!
    From site:
Install is simple how double click on the installer, but there are some extra goodies included:

    1) To start the best introductory tutorial for GAP written by Scott Bicknell (AC7ZZ) ...plus a copy of the official Doc

2)A selection from my collection of animation scripts of various authors ,most hard to found because never added to the official gimp plugin registry.
Now sorted in 3 group: Animated FX, Animated Logos and
Utils (some of this Utils are very useful when working with many layers)
Scripts are from Fenceposte, Saulgoode, LIMN, Gadget Wizard AKA Scott Mosteller ,Insanity Prevail
    From Read Me:
    WHAT IS INSIDE

    1) GAP_installer

    contain Gimp_GAP-2.6.0_Setup2.exe:

The Windows installer for GAP-2.6. ( compiled for windows by JamesH )
Gap is the gimp animation package, this version is optimized for Gimp 2.6
That is a installer so just double click to install

You need only this to install GAP...the rest is a extra bonus

    1)EXTRA_AUDIO-support

As default GAP may only supports 16-bit WAV files; all other audio formats must be converted before GAP can use them

This folder contain some extra libraries (from LAME and SOX ) to extend support for most commune audio files
In the folder is included instrution to install (BTW do not put them in a plugin folder-most simple solution is move them in Gimp bin folder)

Both SOX and LAME are Open Sources under GPL license, direct link for the source code are included in the INSTALL_INFO txt file

    2)"EXTRA_ANIMATION_SCRIPT"

My collection of script for animation ...i added here because most are are to find because not listed in the Gimp plugin registry

From the originals i only change the menu location now are grouped in The new " Video " menu that GAP will create

In Video/animated FX you will found Animated Rain, Fire, Pixels Strecth, melt, kaleidoscope and similar
In Video/Animated Logos script to create logos with effect like Drop Letters,Electricity ,Animated Lava, Bling text
Last group but most useful in Video/Utils...to combine layer with the BG, change quickly animation settings, reverse the layerstack and more

Thank fto Saulgoode,Fenceposte,Scott Mosteller,LIMN,Ky McPherson ,Michele Sharra , Fatal Edge are
the authors of the scripts here included

    3) EXTrA_Plugin
Contain a plugin to create/edit animated cursor
Allow to open and save .ani and.cur files

    3) TUTORIAL-doc

Contain the best introductory tutorial to Gap i could found by Scott BINECKELL
And (in the doc folder) the official GAP documentation
with a descrition of all the Gap plugin

    HOW TO INSTALL

Basically first requirement is Gimp 2.6 installed, (and windows Xp or Vista ,of course)

the to install Gap you just need to double click on the installer "Gimp-GAP-2.4.0setup.exe"...and that is all ..That is GAP 2.4 ,( with no "Custom" add on)

Many EXTRA are included (and clerly labeled as EXTRA to avoid confusion)
Each EXTRA-folder contain inside a text file with clear (and very sinple )instrution on how install

Is also included a very detailed introductory tutorial ..the best replacement i could find for the never written GAP-Help files
Other useful resource, the official GAP documentation (alas in text format with no illustrations, and no much updated, but still very useful)
    is also included

    happy animated Gimping

    Credit

The gimp developers and GIMP - GNU Image Manipulation Program that make gimp available
    The developers of Gap
JamesH for the Gap windows installer

Saulgoode, Fenceposte,Scott Mosteller,LIMN,Michele Sharra , Fatal Edge for the the scripts included in the Extra-Scripts folder

NOTE since this is for Windows user i avoid to confuse them even more with adding a additional folder for the source code
    SOURCE CODE is here http://www.deviantart.com/users/outg...-ins/v2.6/gap/

    Thank you Cliff!
It is indeed the most complete. But I cannot install it. I'm using a portable GIMP version made by Partha.
It's x64 only so I cannot mix architecture versions.

I'll stay with my current GIMP because I found a x64 GAP. I doesn't have all functions (video encoding) but it's fine.

Right now, it's silver, more or less. I think it would look nice in gold.

You know, kind of like those Microsoft mountains that have the gold at the top? Just a thought, though, but not partially gold like the mountains.

I'm not even good at describing my thoughts.

Nice try but the perspective is wrong.
That was simply a quick pun not a serious end result seen there! I was trying out the up/down option to see how the inserts would work.
