Which PC we talking about for the new one or old one ? Something on the old partition or it was just made with 2 partitions when bought ?
When you install windows you can make partitions. Do you know if this board has UEFI ?

Actually can make another partition after the install, ever look here and read the notes and tips carefully.
In disk management you can make partitions or by using a third party software.

I delete the partition, there wasn't much on it anyway, tomorrow I will format and leave the 1 tb in tack and not partition it. Yes it does have UEFI.

Did you say you were using this Hard Drive for the new PC ? Model of the Hard Drive is a WD Velociraptor, if so good model ?
I would leave it and do a clean install of Windows 10 on it with the new PC and you do not want wrong drivers updated on this drive when using it on the older PC.

Yes the velociraptor is the main drive. I formatted it and had to downlad a program aomei partition to send the accolated space from my deleted drive to the velociraptor, everything seems to be working fine now except for the lock screen, it still just keeps one photo doesn't do the spotlight

Why are you still bothering with this other PC ? You are saying that you are going to use this drive for new PC format it and leave it till it is put into the new PC then windows can be clean installed on it. What is on this partition you are looking to save ?

I'm talking about my new pc build. That raptor drive was partitioned into 2. I deleted the partition that was the smallest and not much info on it, but when I did that the allotted space wasn't near the other half of the drive (driveC) there was a recovery space in between them, so that's why a got that partition program, it will place allotted space to drive no matter where it is, so now I have my raptor at 1tb. That drive was formatted and now being used for my new windows 10. But the locked screen doesn't change on spotlight option.

I'm not even talking about the other MB (pc). I have been talking about my new MB.

Wait a minute, are you telling me you have the new PC built with the WD HDD with the same issue as before ? What is on this allocated space or partition on the drive that you need to keep ? You can always as said partition the drive afterwards. GPT will make several partitions being recovery if done this way and one is hidden.

There's nothing on that small partition that I really needed to save, that's why I deleted it. Yeah I still have that locked screen not changing photos for the spotlight. I have read a lot of people having that problem so maybe it's a windows fluke, it's no big deal I guess I can always change the photo and not use the spotlight option.
