    Oh crap!!!

I almost forgot to tell you, when you Delete the file, make sure you delete the shortcut first, because you could have problems later getting rid of it, as the file no longer exist that's connected to the tile & short cut. This happens with desktop icons too.

Champion! That was a missing link for me, and all is good! Tomorrow I'll fool with trying to get a custom button in there for that as well.

Thanks again Cliff - excellent assistance!

Glad to have helped. Now watch out, creating custom tiles, becomes addictive!

Errrr, yeah, I already worked that out two days ago.......

Do you know if there's a solution to this:

I mean, it's the dumbest thing about Win 10 (apart from the desktop icons jumping around - that REALLY sucks)! No problem in XP remembering the sizes and monitors they were displayed upon.

Akshally, why couldn't you just go into ......Start Menu/Programs and delete the shortcut if it became problematic?

I personally haven't had this problem(on a desktop, a laptop, and a Insider VM), sorry. But some have in the forums, you can try using the forums search to find the threads.

I was talking about, if or whenever you don't need the file anymore, and wish to delete it in file explorer, make sure you unpin the tile and get rid of the short cut 1st, before deleting.

Remember that desktop / self-made tiles via xml manifest are only allowed to have "medium" as the max size.
But that should be big enough in most cases.

In that case I have to wonder if it's the difference between W10 and W10 Pro. If i change a window size on the monitor every window I open after that takes on the same dimensions and position - very aggravating.

Yes, so was I - if it can't be unpinned after the file is deleted, then surely deleting the shortcut from the Start Menu/Programs would sort it out. Anyway, for the file that I was talking about it just ain't gonna happen - if it gets deleted my life is over! It's an Excel file that has the keys to everything.

Yes, thanks Hopachi. They are all small anyway. The visual cue is all I need.
