Customizing system icons and navigation pane

    Hi everyone,
I've got two small issues that are that get me really nitpicky when I'm reminded of them. I was hoping you could help me with those.

So the first one is I'd like to customize system icons. Before the upgrade from Windows 7 I had IconPackger which was fantastic, but unfortunately does not change the icons on Windows 10.

Next small issue I'd like to change the sorting order in the navigation pane. After playing with all sort of registry files, it's got a little messy.

What I'd really like to do is bring the Libraries icon down below OneDrive. Also, ever since the upgrade the Homegroup icon isn't there anymore even though the service is active.

    Have a great day everyone

Hi, I use Icon Changer by Anolis, which replaces 77 icons in imageres.dll with Win 7 icons.
However, although it's supposed to replace the file with one click, I've found I've had to substitute the patched file manually.

Thus I have Win 7's recycle bin, drive icons and folder style in most significant places.

(And I use Classic Shell with an Orb as Start menu icon).

Mhm... No no, I don't want to replace them with Win 7 icons. I want to replace them with my own icons.
Is there a program similar to IconPackager for Windows 10?

The folder does exist in REGEDIT but the key SortOrderIndex does not. Maybe it's in another place in Win 10?

You will lose icons where system files are patched
    a. on each major build upgrade (next this summer)
    b. if you need to do an in-place upgrade repair install (uses Windows install procedure).

Icon Changer includes a resource pack of ico files, which means you can create your own set.

It supports multiple icon looks, just add them to the folder, select it in the dropdown, and press patch."

    Alright, I'll try this one.
What about the navigation pane? Is there any way to sort it?

Well, Winaero's tweaker (worth having) offers a little customisation, but not what you want I think.

Yes, that did what I wanted. Thank you, useful program.
However, the Homegroup icon still isn't there...

Hi, a quick search of the Tutorial section (feel free to have a look) offers this:

& you might find this interesting... in reverse, if you see what I mean. Ok it's Win 7, but might point you in the right direction..
