may i know which program do you use to change icons?

    Of course, use any icon with .ico extension.

    In the example, the line containing:
    @="%SystemRoot%\\System32\\imageres.dll,1" is set the icon for C drive in imageres.dll with an index pointing to the icon.
    If you have an icon, for example, in D: drive. Change the path where your icon is:
    @="D:\\myicon.ico

    under w8 or 7 there is no HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\

    do you the key for w8 and w7 ?

    Hi Guys,

    I was looking for a tutorial on how to change the icons in the control panel and came across this one for Windows 8/8.1. Any idea if it would work on Windows 10 since 8/8.1 and 10 are quite similar?
