    Changing Picture Display Order

    Hi All,

I have my desktop set to show my pictures after I've been away from my desk for a short while. For instance, when I come back to my desk after getting a cup of coffee family pictures are being shown.

What I would like to do is change the picture order in which they are displayed if I can. My pictures are organized from the oldest at the top to the newest at the bottom. So, when I come back to my desk the pictures always start displaying with the oldest ones first.

Is it possible to change the display order so the latest ones are shown first? Or, is it possible to set the display order so the pictures are shown in a random order?

    Thanks, CanAm

Hi, you can use a 3rd party program to change your wallpaper and thus gain more control.

E.g. Wally, or John's Background Switcher (both free).

    Hi dalchina,

Thanks for the fast reply. OK so you are saying that Windows 10 doesn't have the capability to do this?

What are the addresses of these background switchers? How can I be assured that they are safe? Which one do you prefer? Once I switch my picture display order, can I easily put it back if I want to?

I use Wally - just search for them (see my signature!). E.g.
    Wally background changer

Lots of options- it's a matter of finding one that suits you. I use Wally to change wallpaper on logon, then exit - so no resource use. If you want a slideshow, you'll need to leave it running.

    Safe?
    a. Download from a known site like Softpedia or Filehippo.
    b. Upload them to Virustotal

Usual precautions - and of course you will have an AV in place.

Totally independent of Windows in-built background features in the terms you're asking.

    Thanks dalchina!

I will check out both of them to see which one is the easiest to use with the limited experience I have!
