Should you want to try it out...
You'll need to convert ANI to PNG sequence or filmstrip. (see cursor programs in first post; the one from Axialis is easiest for this step)
You can also open the big black GIF preview in GIMP. Then you'll see frames as layers.
It's the one I used -> resize it to any size, default to 32x32px.

Extract zip, right-click on install.inf to install.
