That's fine. It would be ideal if every coloured pixel was accompanied by its pair like in the pointers, in all frames. For visibility. But that's a good template for experiments. I've no experience with making animated stars though, but the binary set needs some generic alternative for the "digital" cursors, either stars or gears.

    Attachment 323528

I've made drop shadowed versions of your Binary cursors, complete with small tweaks to hotspot and cursor positions, as well as two new cursor states and the animated spinners. I also added four new colours, black, white, a darker blue and a very familiar purple

    More to follow...
    Wow! very nice!
    I'll use these...

    Why no install.inf file?
We can use one template with all roles, for instance from a LLX pack, and change names to use in this scheme.

I can show you the basics of animated spinners, it's not that complicated.

But for instance that sequence I posted, is a rip-off from your stock example, turned into a sequence.
It had to be re-drawn manually: simply in MS Paint (patience required) + layer per layer framed in GIMP.
    From the PNG:

You drop it in RW Cursor Editor... and it generates an ANI automatically.

    And the ANI zipped below:

Is Hopachi planning on releasing a pixel star cursor set?

Who knows... it usually starts with a test.
But so far I don't know what to make of it. Firstly I want to make that 'move' role that @i486 asked but I'm not sure I got that one right yet.

You can add the "move" cursor role that i486 asked to my requested "Rainbow Deluxe" cursor set. Please Hopachi can you kindly do me this favour by making the Rainbow Deluxe cursor set that I requested before.

I bet that the Rainbow Deluxe cursor set would be the right one to make the "move" cursor role that i486 asked for. You could make the move cursor with an animated rainbow effect after each animation frame when the cursor expands with its firework effect. That would be an excellent idea.

I know and understand from what you mentioned above that every cursor you make starts with a test. I also acknowledge that it takes a long time to make complete cursor sets with advanced animation and color effects.

The dark blue one looks best with a system-wide "dark mode" because of the lower contrasts. I think I'll make more sets like that.

    Install.infs are for the lazy

The real reason is that I never use them myself and I always toss them away from downloaded cursor packs.

That .ani is all I'll need to work with, thanks. It can be used as a 'busy' for the 32x32px format and as a part of 'working' for the 48x48px.

I think that this pixel star cursor will work great with a Rainbow Deluxe cursor set. Its up to Hopachi to include it in the Rainbow Deluxe cursor set that I requested. I hope that he does.

    Custom Cursors-pixelstar2-32.gif

Tried this pulse animation, looks ok in 32x32 but any size bigger than that must have additional detail or else it looks too bulky. There's very light pixels in there that aren't visible against the default forum background. I'm in the process of re-creating the same frames in 48x48 and once they are done, I'll see what modifications must be done.

The pulse animation is also a good choice. I prefer the pixel star effect.

Made the 48px from the 32px one...
Fastest way, resize image with no interpolation. That way you don't get blurred edges.

What cursor set are you working on Hopachi?

I hope that you will make the requested "Rainbow Deluxe" cursor set. Please make this set for me when you can.
