The black edges are perfect for the LLX Rainbow cursor set. I like it, so please keep it that way.

Second test was the colored edges.

Black edges also work pretty well but I'm undecided at this point since they both can be enhanced lightly.

Then I have both you and Cesare going for the dark edges. I agree, dark edges worked very nice on other releases (Solarized, Genesis) I still feel the need to tweak it up a bit on the dark backgrounds... maybe lighter red / purple / blue?

I'll try to get a new preview on this.

I prefer the LLX Rainbow cursor and all the other LLX series of sets to have black outlines for all the cursor roles. Please keep your light purple outlines for your LLX purple set. Its fine that way.

This is lighter on the backgrounds, to enhance edge contrast.

The animation speed is reduced slightly. This is better for the eyes now.

For the non-spinners we can slow it down more to allow each color more view time.
Here is a slowed-down version.

I do prefer the slow animation for the LLX Rainbow set. Please do not slow it down any further. The animation speed is slow enough. Please keep in mind that the animation speed of the color loop must be in the same speed for all the 17 cursor roles.

The edge color must remain black, but please make it a little thinner. The outlines are currently a bit too thick and that obscures the filled colors. Other than that, everything else is perfect.

Looks better, though it's a bit hard to tell without a 1:1 preview of a 32x32 cursor.

I don't think the edges will appear too thick when they are darker than the base colour. Light edges are more likely to give that impression, the more so if the difference between them is big. Dark contracts, light expands.

Dark borders will also bring out the base colour better.
