    desktop background


    Hi all,,,,,I have a bing desktop background photo that changes everyday and there is one or two that I would like to keep but, where can I find them? I have looked all over so I hope you can help please.

    Try looking for TranscodedWallpaper at these 2 places:
    C:\Users\Your Name Here\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes

    C:\Users\Your Name Here\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes


    An easier way would be to go to this tutorial: Desktop Background shortcut - Create in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums and download the shortcut and then you can access the wallpaper and copy it to desktop, then move it to the folder you wish,. I say copy to desktop because if you choose to pictures folder, it will move it and then you lose it from the background file.

    Thanks very much,,,,I got what I wanted very easy from reading what you sent and it was apparent that it was in the
    AppData folder ,which is hidden and can be un hidden if one types in the start %appdata% (with the percent signs.
    And then you should be in the roaming folder. Thanks Again.

    You can also just unhide it the ribbon in File Explorer

:sick: How do I change the desktop background slideshow ? Or where is the theme pictures settings located ? On windows 7 they were on the same page, not so in win 10, they seem to be hidden.. Thanks for any help. :chuckle:

Hi, today when i booted up i noticed ive no desktop background, i can cycle through backgrounds and i can see borders changing color but my desktop stays black, ran sfc /scannow which it found/fixed errors but nothing to do with my issue, rebooted,...
