Accent color keeps changing by itself

I am experiencing a very strange issue with my color, ever since the November update it keeps changing on its own. It happens after every reboot, and after about 24 hours of being on, the color changes to this ugly pumpkin orange. At first I thought they just changed it when you installed the update as a halloween or thanksgiving thing, but it keeps changing back. I've tried setting the color manually, or having it pick one from my background, but the orange keeps coming back.

    Any suggestions?

Hello defaultdotxbe, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

You might turn off your "Theme" sync settings as a test to see if that may be what's changing it.

OK, sorry for the late reply, I've just been ignoring it for the last 8 months lol but I have noticed when the color changes, its a few seconds after authentication, so logging in, unlocking, or connecting to an RDP session all trigger the color change, although I still have no clue why its happening

Ultra necro bump, but did you ever figure this out? I’m having this exact problem now and I’m going bananas trying to fix it

I never got true fix, only a workaround. When I got a second PC that also had 10 I set them to sync so it simply overrides the bug on the first. If I turn sync off the orange comes back to this day. I suppose I should probably reformat

Yikes. yea reformatting isnt an option for me. Not a chance. Ive been running backup images since almost the beginning of time. I have literally years into softwares and configurations on this pc.

The problem just began happening. Have had issues with insider builds so im sitting on it until the april update in hopes that fixes it i guess.

Is it likely it has something to do with sync then? I thought so myself, so i turned sync completely off - deleted the sync info from the cloud, but no bueno still.

    Ugh.

I don't know if it has to do with sync or not, like I said my "workaround" is simply syncing over the bug. When I turn sync off the bug comes back, I suppose I'm lucky it didn't just spread the offending color to my other 10 devices lol

hmm. wish i knew more on how to troubleshoot and/or address this. My other 2 pc's dont even HAVE sync on. Oh well, is what it is for now i guess.

you didnt do any kind of backup hard drive imaging before it began happening did you? Purely coincidental on my end?

i upgraded my system drive and used an image to a larger drive and it happened right after. /boggle

Nope, the PC had been built new a few months earlier and only ever had 10 on it. It started immediately after that update in November of 2015

yea, so i thought i had it addressed. A workaround so to speak. It was only happening with 1 specific wallpaper, so i changed to a different one, and it held up.

Now windows just pushed 1903 and it now happens with the "new" wallpaper.

    Christ.
