wiiiiild. So - to check the theory. Just changed wallpapers again.

    All is fine.

Something - when windows updates in a certain way (seems to be the more major ones) - it breaks my accent color saving somehow. Makes it go crazy. Only with the current wallpaper though.

Its like it cache's some data about that wallpaper somewhere and ive done the usual sfcs and disms and ccleaners etc to no avail. Its something, somewhere else.

Would take someone with much deeper windows understanding than I. Beyond enthusiast level it seems. Looks like once every 6 months or so I get to change my wallpaper. I guess there are worse things, but not helpful when your an ocd perfectionist. I could keep the same exact wallpaper set up for life >.<

In Win 10, go to Settings>Personalization>Colors uncheck Automatically pick an accent color from my background.
This problem drove me crazy for about a month.

Just to add this to one of the top search threads on this subject and for more completeness.

If you are using DisplayFusion program, disable Settings > Options tab, at the bottom of the with the "Aero Color Settings" option> choose Don't change Aero Color. Display Fusion can cause the accent colors to change even if it is set not to change in Win 10.
