Create folders in the start menu?

I have tried creating a folder in every known location to get an additional folder to show up in the start menu so I can throw some games and what not under it...does anyone have any idea how to do this?

I've tried creating a folder named "Games" in the following:

C:\ProgramData
C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local
C:\Program Files
C:\Program Files (x86)
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

Apparently the 0-Z list doesn't read any of these directories, but I am baffled that my Nvidia driver created a folder and it shows up under "N" just fine...I'm assuming this is some type of regedit but I have no clue where to begin...Any help is appreciated, thanks!

You have to create the folders in one or both of these two places:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

and, you have to put stuff in the folders before they'll show up in the Start Menu.

At least restart Explorer.

Hmm yeah I've tried logging out and restarting...still doesn't show up, I'm assuming it would be under "G" for games but I'm clueless at this point...

Ah I missed your key point! This worked in the roaming location....thanks Edwin!

Actually...the things I want to move into are the normal store apps...drag n drop doesn't work, and I can't right click to create a shortcut...any tips to do that?

Try to use Symlinks it should work, here's a software to make it more ez to do the symlinks or junctions: Link Shell Extension
