I want a CUSTOM background desktop color. How in W10?

How do I make my own custom color for the desktop background in W10? It was super easy in W7 and W8, but now doesn't seem to exist the way that it used to. I only see pre-existing color tiles (that aren't the color I want) in the Solid Color option of the Personalization/Background window, but there's no option to select/create my own color, as there used to be. Thanks in advance!

Hello Headlands, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

As a workaround, you could create a solid color image in Paint (mspaint.exe) with any color you like, then set that image as your desktop background.

    Start menu, type paint then:
    Open paint.
    Choose a custom colour.
    Select the colour fill tool.
Fill the image area with selected colour.
    Save file.
Also in file menu select "Set as desktop background", choose fill.
    Done.

Beat me to it Shawn :)

Awwwww, no workarounds. Somewhere, in a prior post was the "run" command that adds the additional palette. Anyone know it/

In Win 7, choosing personalization, Desktop Background Solid Color, choose your desktop background, the option “more” opens an enhanced color palette. Where is that palette in Win 10?

Go to step 3 in Shawn's tutorial below, go to Solid Colors in the dropdown, click on More... in the bottom left corner:
