    Real dark mode.

As windows, 10 or 11, is such a !*µ$£=+@\# job, with white hardcoded background here and there not going along dark mode, like network & sharing center and many others, and as I'm blinded by such UI (glaucoma), I'm using stardock windowblinds.

Alas, hardcoded backgrounds mean no 3rd party tweaks.
I'm wondering if uixtheme patcher might solve this, allowing me to FULLY dark mode the OS.

Is there any users here and what are your take on this ?

What happens when you hit the 'Dark Mode' button?

i made a custom theme before, which turns every part in the OS to dark, but it breaks some apps, for example if theres an app with a hardcoded white background and text color grabbed from the OS then it will be unreadable, web browsers also seem to use the OS color for the text, meaning you get barely readable/unreadable text, so not really worth it. I'd share it but it also requires 2 registry tweaks (i forgot which ones) so it doesn't break after you lock the PC or anything.

those programs are independent for a reason. You need to checkout the Registry variables for those programs or resource hack em. Not worth the time.

Treat yourself : hit dark mode and open... Task manager, go to performance tab... Or open advanced system settings, or Run dialog or files & sharing center, or advanced alimentation settings and so much more.

You think that windows 10 isn't up to date ? See by yourself the same windows/dialogs in windows 11...

Hint : windows 10 hit the market NINE years ago...

indeed it is but what is your alternative when your eyes are failing ? Staying on your chair in the center of the room like green grass ?

If ever microsoft had the correctness & resolution to be really wokist and inclusive to respect every and all users, above all those with conditions ?

Like they say in hollywood "I agree to disagree" : those parts are only lazyness applied to a conglomerate running like a headless chicken in terms of business direction, piling software slices upon slices since NT4 35 years ago.

You want proof ? Some parts are doubled by black background modern UI and Stardock's Windowblinds theming software is able to circumvent some of them. Unfortunately, not all of them.

That's true, I've experienced that in some applications like HDSentinel or MyDefrag aand others but it is almost always bad UI coding, relaying on an OS unable to follow itself it's own dark mode.

Too bad, you don't have those registry keys.
