Screen Saver Interval Setting Not Working

I have the screensaver set with 3D Text, Spin and a 4 minute wait interval. Selecting Preview correctly shows the screensaver. But when out of settings the screensaver is never displayed no matter how long it's been since I touched the mouse or keyboard. I've tried changing the interval to 2 minutes but that didn't help. Is there an additional setting that must be turned on?

their should not be any other settings. have you tried another screensaver to see if same issue? did you hit apply when done selecting screensaver?

I changed the interval again and now it's working. If it works for another day I'll mark this "closed' if un-resolved as to "why"..
