That's your Windows 10? Hmph. Cool. I probably would have wanted that when it first came out, but I've grown used to, and enjoy the Win 10/ 11 desktops myself. I use Linux a lot too, which tends to be more reminiscent of Win 7, mostly.(1)

Stable- 3 programs used + Open Shell (note the Orb), 1 well-known registry hack
Not sure I see the orb (unless that's the Win 7-like i'm referring to). But it seems cool!
Not the direction I was looking for personally, but I understand you're saying it offers customization, and you believe it's solid/ stable, so I'll check it out! Thank you! I probably tend to minimize the ribbons if they're there

It's something to go on, and I like to play. Sadly I have some down time and time to get bored.

:aside: "GNOME" is a strange take on a desktop, if you've ever tried fitting into that. Emphasis on the idea of fitting your head around it. lol.

I find Open Shell invaluable- it's just so rational.

The Orb - as per Win 7- start menu button. It behaves the same- 'glow' on mouseover. Open Shell lets you use custom start menu button of course, I just grabbed that from some Win 7 theme back.

2 progs from Stardock- Curtains and Iconpackager (I chose Win 7 icons). Much less intrusive than Windowblinds. Qttabbar for f. explorer.

I made a post here going into details.

how did this person make windows 10 look like this?

To make your taskbar like 11 you will probably need the UX theme patcher. A theme that matches Windows 11.
Somebody made a Windows 12 theme honestly.

There are Registry keys you could change to make everything

Aline in the center ( if that is what you want).
Make icons on the taskbar bigger or smaller

    ..........................

You could also make the start menu pop up in the center lower area of your screen. Turn off Metro etc.

    ..........................

What you are asking is literally what Linux users are doing with there desktop. Make it look like Windows to making it look like Mac.

Open Shell is the cheapest solution for this next to the UX patcher and user created Themes for Windows.

The next solution would be something like Winstep Extreme ( where Nexus gives you the Apple bar ), Extreme replaces the entire explorer, but cost money. They even have a newer variant of Extreme ).

Windows blinds could be used for glass but now has been replaced with curtains. However you can not get the same results with Blinds but you have more options in curtains. Cost money I guess
