The only issue I note with Open Shell is that you have to wait until it's finished 'collecting data' after logging in.

When do you see this problem? And has it always been like this?

Can you illustrate exactly what you mean somehow?

Does not always stick first time around and its something that is dynamic so it might take a few restarts for it to kick in. You may even need to remove those icons and reinstate them like maybe even as far as rebuilding the icons from scratch. Try all these things while keep trying to reset the icon cache periodically and eventually it should come right.

I am not sure past this but i know it can be a hassle and it will resolve after time, last time i had this issue it just fixed after time. I reset the cache once but after that they icons would be white for ages and slow to load in. I think file indexing may effect it too but i never tested this.

Months old issue and you are only responding now, suggests its something else past that who knows on a simple level make sure that the target lnk is targeting the right exe and that exe has not moved since the shortcut was made.

Select Pre-Cache Icons and de-select pre-loading of Icons.
