    Spotlight Lock Screen Image Stuck for good (worse than usual)


    hi,

    Spotlight image on lock screen has always been buggy on win10, we know that, however this time in Nov2023 seems much worse.

    Earlier this week it got stuck on the usual lake image on 3 computers we have here (not 1), then i've done the usual restart/reset steps and it's still not working.

    Did anyone observe that as well? i've just got the latest Win10 update too

    All fine here. Have you used any tweaks, registry cleaners, so-called privacy tools or applied other modifications or removed things that might have had an unexpected effect? A 3rd party security program perhaps?

    not really usual stuff, reg cleaner yes but i know what i am doing - this is not related.

    it really keeps on breaking on all our 3 Windows10 machines (can't be right) - you fix it, lasts maybe 6 days with beautiful pictures then broken again with the lake - I really cannot understand what's so difficult to make some pictures rotate ad infinitum. It's just a code.

    Only thing i am thinking is that we have mobile internet now as waiting bloody Croatia Telekom for Fiber since 2 months (crazy story) - all PCs have the connection marked as "Set as metered connection" OFF.

    Yet why does it work for 5-6 days now then stuck again? makes no sense.

    I really cannot understand what's so difficult to make some pictures rotate ad infinitum. It's just a code.
    - a little bit more to it.. the images have to be selected for you on some server and then downloaded.. so could be related to your internet connection in some way.

    If you want it purely local then you could set up a slideshow of images on the PC:
