I want to change the new search icon in taskbar

    I want to change the new search icon in taskbar


    Microsoft decided to change it (after the new update ) so I'm in 19045.2965 ver. already. The old one isnt looked that "bold" as the new, so thats why I want the older. If you guys didnt updated, here is the new search icon;

    You'd have to identify and hack the relevant resource using e.g. Reshacker (free).

    Changing the resource that includes the search icon will break its code signing integrity... so Windows will probably replace it with a new 'unhacked' resource.

    Don't want to see it? Hide the search box and icon completely (rt click taskbar options).

    Then when you want to use search-
    Win key + s

    There are some references around on search icon variants to using Vivetool.
    However that usually works for a bit until MS changes things again. Not a reliable fix.

    Thanks Dalchina. No, is better to leave it as it is, now we all will have it on taskbar-anyway.
    I wonder why MS still changing icons, since feature updates have stopped.
    I prefer, whenever I want to change something, to use with safety, the winaero tweaker. What an great
    tool.
