    Weird Spotlight Problem

My Windows Spotlight has stopped working on 3 PCs using the same Microsoft account and just shows a fixed blue picture. I reset using the batch file in this tutorial. Other local accounts on the same PCs display the Spotlight image on the lock screen correctly. I've run the batch file on the forum to reset Spotlight to ne effect What's going on here and why is the problem linked to this particular Microsoft account?

Try toggling the switch from Spotlight to slideshow and reboot, run the batch file, reboot and re-select spotlight

I’ve heard that spotlight requires Edge to be installed (& to be the default browser) & that Bing is the default search engine. I don’t know how accurate that is but worth checking if one or more of these aren’t set as default.

Edge is installed but Chrome is the default browser with Google for search. This is the configuration I have been using for ages and has been working fine.

Perhaps a Windows update has changed something. I would try changing the browser to Edge & the search engine to Bing to see if it fixes the problem.
