Is there a way to change the OEM Splash Screen upon boot?

    Hi.

    Curious...

Instead of displaying the HP logo or similar, is there a safe way to change the OEM Splash Screen upon power on (POST), or is this an inherent part of the BIOS?

    Thanks.

The OEM logo is only seen on a UEFI boot up, a legacy bios machine will just show the blue Windows logo while Windows is loading.

Yes, you can set your own logo, see this thread. You will have to turn off secure boot if you use a custom logo.

This can only change the logo shown while Windows boots up, the initial splash screen during POST is embedded in the bios.

It seems you "might" be able to actually change it..

Apparently, you can do this with most modern BIOSes.
The methods vary slightly, and some are more dangerous than others (manually modifying a BIOS file with a tool).

When searching Google, this phrase seems to hit the mark... change the ASUS motherboard Boot logo?
Just change the underlined part to match your motherboard.

Use at your own risk - Use at your own risk - Use at your own risk - Use at your own risk
Use at your own risk - Use at your own risk - Use at your own risk - Use at your own risk
Use at your own risk - Use at your own risk - Use at your own risk - Use at your own risk

Some motherboard "utilities" may offer easier methods. Do your research, well!
Have I mentioned: "Use at your own risk"?

If you do this incorrectly, you can "brick" your motherboard. That means -- KILL IT!

    Thanss for the replies!

I thought that it was most probably encoded in the BIOS. Not worth any effort.
