    Win 10 IOT Login image on HP Thin Client


    I'd like to use a custom background for the login screen on Windows 10 IOT Enterprise, which runs on an hp Thin Client. To be clear, I don't mean the lock screen but the login screen which appears on boot.

    If I understand correctly, on Windows 10 this is normally done via Personalize/Lock screen/show also on login screen, but on Windows 10 IOT this doesn't seem to work.

    I would appreciate some advice. I have admin access.

    It's a good idea but it doesn't seem to be a oemcustomization.cmd file in system32 which is preventing a custom backdrop for the sign-in screen, making me think whatever is causing it probably can't be overridden by a .cmd file if I made one. Although, it may be a matter of which instructions override which.

    I'll look around GPO some more to see if anything sticks out.

    Edit: Nothing seems to be configured in User Configuration of GPO, as far as I can see with gpedit.

I am trying out EM Client since I have about a dozen email addresses to check and respond to. I have a problem saving images attached and imbedded in emails. When I right click on the photo for options and pick "save image as" the dialog box...
After the latest Windows 10 update an image with the time and date on it now inserts itself before the login screen. There is no way to get to the login screen without clicking on the image. How do I remove this darn nuisance?
