    Window border without transparency

    Hello. I think I have looked everywhere, but I cannot find a way to to change a default opacity of window border to 255 (no transparency). I want to leave everything else at its default settings: title bar = white, border = grey, 1px wide. The issue with semi-transparency is that border becomes non uniform when background is variegated. See images attached. Is there any way to change this behavior?

    @ramus

    Welcome to Ten Forums.

    Have you tried just turning Transparency... OFF?

    I don't seem to have that problem with borders. I'm trying to find out why.

    It has no effect in this case.

    Given that your title bars are grey, I think you have enabled accent color for your title bars as explained here. Turn it off and you should get white title bars and grey borders. Then place any window over the text in the background so that its border is exactly over the text and you should see the issue I am talking about.

    Ah well I hoped the no transparency would work.

    As for the title bars, yes I changed both the active and inactive to grey and dark grey.
    Set on white, they were burning a hole in my retina.

    I see. Do you have any other suggestions how to achieve the effect I am looking for?

    I guess not.

    Unless you were to maybe "make" the title bar white, instead of letting Windows do it?
    I mean if "making" mine grey and turning off transparency worked for me...

    You might like to change with window background as well to alleviate that... that can often be done with browsers too.
    Several separate settings/methods needed.

    ik this is old, but the solution would be manually changing the borders texture using windows style builder or msstyle editor to a color without transparency, since its half transparent in the windows 10 theme
