It has minimal impact on my machines, my 8 machine has 4GB of Ram and no AV's or anything else installed, I play movies and that's it, no browsing or anything. That's what I like about this tweak, it's small-footprint as far as I can tell, it's module hooks into the already running DWM.

I have even less available resources on my 10 machine, but I am not having any issues at all so far, and I have a full contingent of protection installed.
Windows 10 for me all i have, still a new OS with possible bugs to work out, rather not myself add something like this that is not fully compatible. No browsing, no internet connection on that PC, but your here or are you on the Windows 10 PC for here ?
Well can't see just having a PC for movies alone, assume since you have 2, one for that only.

That's why I don't update my machines until I know it will do what I want. That's why I'm keeping 8 (as opposed to 8.1) on my Media Machine. But just because I don't browse on it, does not mean I don't have it as part of my home network or that I don't have it connected, I just don't use it foe browsing is all. All of my machines (3 in this one space, 2 more in my work area) are connected to my network, and I'm experimenting now with Windows 10 taking the place of my Windows 7 machine, which is on another drive on the same PC.

So far I am pretty happy with it, save for the lack of any Aero effects, but there are still a few huge issues. For one thing, I can't share my printer with my other machines or use it as an AirPrinter source like I could do with Windows 7.

My point is, that AeroGlass has zero impact on any of my Windows 8 or 10 machines, regardless of if I use it as a browser or not. But in fact I use my Windows 10 machine for browsing only, all of my other machines are dedicated for either watching Movies, or for Home Recording. Actually, they are not limited to strictly home recording, I drag them down to the studio and record tracks there too.

But the main point over all of this is that if I can run AeroGlass on windows 8 and 10 and have no impact regardless of what I'm using the machines for, then it's a better solution for Aero than any of Stardock's Bloat-Tweaks. They have a few tweaks that do similar to AeroGlass, but they are bloat, and don't even come close to doing as much.

Ps - As far as only having one machine, well, all of my machines were taken out of trash bins and rebuilt. I have built dozens of machines that I originally found in trash cans, a lot of times there is nothing wrong with them, only bad hard drives or video cards. All of my ram, HDs, even Boxes I use over and over for different builds, I have found in the garbage, and there was nothing wrong with them. You see I can't afford to buy a machine and then depend only on that, I have to have a replacement if these go down. For me, there is no excuse to not having several machines ready to go in case one of mine go down. I used to be backed into a corner with only one machine, but never again.

I went back to the other program in another thread on here. Not a fan of the pop ups and watermarks of this release, or the glass reflection (I guess there may be a way to disable that but I didn't look)

That's "Zelda"- Originally 'Zelda' was a 30-year old Les Paul Custom Burgundy with Cream attachments, but I had to sell her off back in 1997. I had a Hamer USA Diablo I paid 1400 bucks for, Guitar center wanted to only give me 100 bucks, they thought it was one of the cheapies. I told them to flip the headstock around, then the guys eyes bugged out, you don't see too many Hamer USA. I traded that and a crappy new Les Paul Jr for that Flying V.

You are still using the Debug version? Oh, you mean you don't like that it sticks something on the bottom right, I don't mind that much, and there is only one popup, when you first boot up. But you don't have that persistent Debug window. As far as control of the Glass Effect, not much you can do, it just turns it back on and tries to make it look like Windows 7.

I haven't had any pop ups from this one. it's the one that was in the reddit link on your other thread, not the debug from the aeroglass site. whatever it is, i like it better since you can remove that glass reflection effect and just make the bars transparent to just stay thematic with the rest of windows.

You mean you are not gett8ing that distortion effect where artifacts are showing up in the Explorer Shell, you must be using 1.4 then. The artifacts show up because of some theming cack left over in the 1.3 version, I got the same thing when I tried it. You have to have a specific theme installed for those to work, mainly you are seeing images where there should be none, ergo the "reflections".
