How do I remove this aero effect from the Windows 10 taskbar and menu?

The first image is without a graphics driver, it is just a transparent black colour which is what I want.

The second is with my graphics driver installed, which adds a kind of aero-like effect onto the taskbar and start menu with a noise background. I do not want this.

My Windows 10 version is 21H2.

Hi, from the huge searchable Tutorial section (do have a look) I found these for you:

Turn On or Off Clear Acrylic Taskbar Transparency in Windows 10

Turn On or Off Transparency Effects in Windows 10

    Hope that helps.

    @showroom -

    Welcome to Windows Ten Forums!

Perhaps Winaeero Tweaker can do the job better:

    Winaero Tweaker

    It's free.

I tried the "Turn On or Off Clear Acrylic Taskbar Transparency in Windows 10" article, downloaded the Option 2 reg file and executed it and restarted, though unfortunately nothing changed :[
Nevermind, it seems to be actually Option 1 you want, I misunderstood

Yes I tried looking around Win Aero Tweaker but I couldn't find any tweak that would remove the "acrylic" design

Trying playing around with the Colors under Settings -> Personalization -> Colors and note the Accent Settings.
It's all an interplay to get the right combination.

    HTH.

Update, well I was actually meant to get Option 1 in the blog, I accidentally did Option 2 because I misunderstood. I installed the option 1 tweak though and everything seems to be working, I also discovered that you can in fact change it via Win Aero Tweaker in the "Taskbar transpareny" option, like @Compumind suggested

However, the taskbar feels way too transparent now, is there any way I can tweak the transparency on it?

    Update 2, Solved?

So I discovered via a tutorial, that if you go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced in the registry editor and change the "UseOLEDTaskbarTransparency" (which was also manipulated by the script in the article), it then returns to the defualt?

I have rebooted and everything is still the same, so I will mark this thread as solved :]

Thanks. Could you please post the link for the tutorial, so everyone will see?

It isn't technically that helpful since I just used it to do the opposite but yeah I suppose I should've done so: Windows 10: Increase Taskbar Transparency via the Registry
