Yet another "How to make it more Mac-like" question

Okay; 35 years of using a Mac and now I'm a Windows guy. For all the nice things about using a Windows box, there are still a few things I miss about my Mac.

    - Miller columns (although I've found a few Windows Explorer replacements that do a decent job so let's call this one "done").

    - Multiple open folders in list view. Win Explorer (and all other replacements I've found so far) stick with a quite modal approach. You have a sidebar which can display a bunch of folders in one enclosing folder but you can only see into one of the folders (the "selected one") at a time. The Mac Finder has a "list view" which shows little disclosure triangles to the left of all the folder within the selected folder and one may open -multiple- folders at once to see into those multiple folder -and- select items from multiple folders (which one may copy, delete, etc.).

I've tried searching in Google and in alternative.to but no luck so far; hence, this post which, hopefully, will reach the eyes of those more experienced in such matters. Advice gratefully accepted.

    Thanks!

Can you please post a (MAC) screenshot to illustrate this for us non-MAC users? Thanks!

FWIW I'm reminded of Qttabbar's 'Extra Views' - panes added to file explorer:

Just for info... 'latest' can vary from user to user for different reasons thus isn't definitive.

It is Mac not MAC. Plenty of desktop screenshots out there in what the Mac OS desktop looks like.

If the OP wants a Mac OS feel, they should just keep using Mac OS and install Parallels to run Windows.

Here's a Finder screenshot showing the disclosure triangles to the left of folders that are inside the Macintosh HD. I've added the two rectangles just to show that two very different folders are -open- and items inside those two folders may be selected in both folders. In Windows, the disclosure triangles are only in the sidebar and only one folder's contents may be viewed and acted upon. Note that the Finder sidebar may show, let's say, the Downloads folder and the contents of Downloads appear in the main part of the window (folders and items) with all folders having disclosure triangles adjacent to the left. So the same "multiple items in multiple folders may be acted upon".

So this is what I'd like to see in my Windows Desktop (or Win Explorer substitute).
    Thanks.

You will never get a layout like Finder unless someone designs a overlay that uses explorer.exe.

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions... on a sesame seed bun.

You need a third party app to do that.
