    Cleaning the registry with CCleaner (free) might fix this-no guarantees. If not (but at least try it and see if it works), you will need to manually edit the registry using Regedit, but I haven't personally located the relevant entry yet as I'm fairly busy right now. If CCleaner doesn't work, post back and I'll take another look. Hopefully, this will be a quick fix (fingers crossed).

    Another prime suspect for a fix is to restore defaults for Quick Access in Windows Explorer>>View>>Options>>General>>Restore Defaults. See if that works.

    Also check:

    After use "rename Quick Access" using winAero Tweaker-reset.png

    After use "rename Quick Access" using winAero Tweaker-reset-2.png

    Anyway you should always have a system image backup solution in place before tweaking anything.

    Just for completeness:

    1. Remove the Registry keyHKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{679f85cb-0220-4080-b29b-5540cc05aab6}
    2. Remove the value {679f85cb-0220-4080-b29b-5540cc05aab6} under the keyHKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPan el
    3. Restart the Explorer shell.
