    Retain Folder Column Spacing

Is there a method to retain the Folder Column Spacing after dragging them into place?

When I open a folder, sometimes the Column Spacing is too narrow to read the full description of the item in that Column.

I can drag the spacing into place using Left Click over the Column name, so that I can read all of the Column's description.

After closing the folder and returning later, the setting has been lost, and needs to be reset again.

I am using Local Account and have no Sign In Password option set on my computer, although it does say Administrator under my Name and Picture in Settings > Accounts > Your Info.

Folder Setting that obscures some of the information before dragging into place:

Folder Setting after after dragging into place that I would like to retain - preferably in all folders and sub-folders:

Apply Folder View to All Folders of Same Type in Windows 10

This will be applied to all folders that use the same template as this folder.

You can find the folder's template by <right click> folder > properties > Customize

Thank you for your response and advice. I think this has solved the issue.

I need to use the computer a bit more yet, and tweak some settings, then navigate around the folders after turning my Computer off and on again.

    I'll report back.

    Hi again Farvatten,

Now that I have navigated around my computer a few times, viewing the folders in Libraries and in File Explorer, I would say that the Column width is retained after setting to read all of its content.

Thank you for resolving what was a frustrating (missing) setting on my computer.
