How can I change the color of my taskbar

    I figured this issue out

The other day when Chrome opened it gave me the option to switch to dark mode so I tried and and found out I couldn't undo it. I finally found a way to change it back to light mode but now my taskbar is gray, I've always had it a dark blue and would like to change it back to blue but I can't find out how.

In settings under "Show accent color on the following surfaces" "start taskbar and action center" is grayed out

Also I just found out that not all of the screens are back to light mode some are dark in Chrome is there a way to undo the light to dark option chrome gave me the other day

    would appreciate some help

Dark made in Chrome should have nothing to do with your taskbar color.

Did you reset Chrome to default theme ?

Try this sometime, you might love it

    Get TranslucentTB - Microsoft Store

It sure does when you try to change it back to the light mode. As I said when I changed it back my taskbar changed colors (gray)

I can`t get Chrome to ask me to use Dark Mode.

But this is how I have my taskbar settings. If I turn off Transparent Taskbar, my taskbar is gray, the color I pick.

Is yours setup the same ?

Hmm, did you install Dark Reader in Chrome ?

Chrome never asked me either until 3 days ago. Since I know you can change it to dark, light and custom in settings I thought there may be a new feature so I clicked "try it" when I didn't like dark I went to settings and changed it to light when I had it on custom and it changed to light again but my taskbar was gray. I guess that is default with the light mode.

I have to change several settings in the settings before O got it back to light mode with dark blue taskbar. Not sure I could do it again without trying different settings. One would think if they (Google) would offer to try something they would also have a undo if one didn't like it but then again it's Google.

Ya I can`t stand the light mode

I googled it and only came up with what we already found, sorry I can`t help fix it.

The only thing I could find was Dark Reader for Chrome, thought maybe that was the issue.

I use the Chrome Just Black Theme, but I`ve switched to using Edge for about 6 months now.

Someone will come along with the answer maybe Keith.
