Does Windows10 Have a Built-in Setting for Showing Battery Percentage?

    Hi all

On a laptop that I have, I see the BAttery icon in the Taskbar Tray,
and it gives you a rough idea of the battery level,
but I wish I could see a number, like you see on Mobile Phones, e.g. 40%.

Currently, the only way to get the percentage, is to hover with the mouse cursor on the battery icon.

Is there some setting that can add the Percentage Number near the battery icon?

If there isn't, then what program do you use to get that feature?
Is there maybe a program that can add several measures, like these:
    1) Battery percentage
    2) CPU Usage
    3) RAM Usage
    4) CPU Temperature
    5) SSD Temperature

    Thank you

    Hello,

If it may help any, you could enable this below to see the battery percentage and remaining time like below from the battery notification icon on the taskbar.

By default, the percentage doesn't show unless you hover over or click on the battery icon, but the battery icon does show a bar on it that reduces as battery life reduces to help.

Enable or Disable Battery Life Estimated Time Remaining in Windows 10

    Thank you very much Brink

The hover part is working well for me,
I now need to find a way to make the Percentage apear near the icon (for example, via another icon, that will show a number)..
So I guess this must be achieved via an external program..

Well If I can't find one I'll write one.

BTW, can you please tell me how you made your taskbar show both the Time and Date, instead of just the Time?
I couldn't achieve that in all my experiements..

Yeah, you'll need some 3rd party or OEM software to show the battery percentage like that.

It sounds like you may have turned on to use small taskbar buttons below if you only see the time. Turning it off should sort it.

Use Large or Small Taskbar Buttons in Windows 10

I take it a step further, add a second time zone clock, shows when hovering.

Add or Remove Additional Time Zone Clocks on Taskbar in Windows 10

    Hi spaceman5

I use this free BatteryBar app on 2 laptops. You can configure it to display % without a mouse-over.

At the bottom center, there's a link to the Free basic app. I've used it for years.
