Has anyone come up with a CURRENT solution to the Settings banner?

I really despise this thing. It says WU needs attention because I've got updates paused. It offers rewards I don't want. And it really, really wants me to use a browser I don't want to use. Is there any current way to dump this banner?

Oh, and it pushes me (in blue) to Sign In (to my MS account). Thanks, but NO.

Yeah, Gary, thanks. That one just comes to an end in despair and resolution. "We have to live with it because it's there."

Well, I'm hoping somebody out there is not willing to accept the status quo and is working on a status sans MS banner.

MS put it there to annoy us. No other reason.

It's to show us minions we agreed to its EULA and that we are only licensed to use Windows, not change it.

MS hates end-users, I'm convinced of it.

There's a developer in Redmond just laughing his/her head off at us.

Don't let it get to you.

Don't waste your time in searching for a permanet solutuion.
I just ignore it now, after several tries to remove it, it was back again soon.

Disbelief (This thing can't really be permanent!)
Denial (Oh, c'mon, it's not meant to annoy me!)
Pain (It bothers the hell out of me every time I notice it!)
Anger (I really hate it; they can't do this to us!)
Bargaining (If I log in to my MS account, will it go away? If I use Edge a little, once in a while, will it disappear?)
Depression (Their attitude toward us is just plain disgusting!)
And, finally, Grudging acceptance (I really can live with it and try to ignore it. I've lived through worse from them.)

I dl'd the latest version of Vivetool. Defender seemed fine with it but on Virus Total it was flagged by 2 vendors as possibly containing Trojan.Malware.300983.susgen. Don't think I'll run it. Not worth the risk.

It's just a false positive as it's doing "under the hood stuff". Having said that, I couldn't get it to work (and am still hack/virus free).
