Change The Order Of The Search Box Results Icons.

    Greetings,
When I click in the search box, where it says "type here to search", on the left side of the Task Bar, at the top of the popup window that shows, from left to right, is: All/Apps/Documents/Web and More, which has a down arrow that pops out: Email/Folders/Music/People/Photos/Settings/Videos.

I want to change the order of what is shown.

For example, I want to move Folders out of the drop down menu and place it next to All. I have tried dragging it but to no avail. Can it be done and if so, how?

Hi, not seen a way- but you could just type folders: music: etc in the box.. Certain words are recognised there as a sort of limited search syntax. (Far more in the file explorer search box).

Thanks dalchina. I use that box a lot just to find documents and folders on a second installed drive, which is indexed.
Hopefully, someone will know if the rearrangement can be done.

You may find using file explorer's search box more convenient, open at that fully indexed drive, although MS post build 1903 messed that up as the Search tab is not available until you've done a search! How logical is that?

(For interest: note that search results for C: by contrast, starting at C: usually result in a slow green progress bar even with enhanced indexing selected. Recently I tried an experiment- and now after modifying what's indexed just a little I have instant content search results on C: -and it's not fully indexed)
