Desktop shortcut that when clicked, plays 6 sec. sound, then shutsdown

Hi! (I'm using Windows 10 Pro)

This is my first post on the forum and any help you all could give me would be much appreciated.

I had come across this forum when I was looking for a way for my computer to play a sound and shutdown. I found this very good tutorial by Brink here: Play Sound at Shutdown in Windows 10

I tried this tutorial, and have found that it does work, but only for very short sounds as Windows 10 shuts down so fast now.

It was hinted in the replies of the post that there is an ability to make a file that, when clicked, uses Powershell to play a sound, then shutdown the PC.

I unfortunately have close to no experience working with Powershell, so if any of you could help me create something that does this, it'd be appreciated:

A desktop icon, that when clicked, plays a 6 second long audio .wav file in it's entirety, then proceeds to shutdown the computer.

    Thank you so much!

Hi, I've created an exe file using Autohotkey- you can see the simple source code- both are in the zip file attached.

Simply put the sound file you want to play, called shutdownsound.wav in the same folder as the exe file.

Then create a shortcut to the exe file.

Ask the author to write such a script.
