Personalisation Intermittent Changes

Hi Folks, on my old, still used occasionally Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit desktop pc, I have set the background image to change every 30 minutes and it works perfectly. I have 360 images.
On my newish Win 10 Laptop, I have tried the same and failed completely. It can be set to change every 1 Minute, 10 Minutes, 30 Minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours or 1 day.
If I set it to change at any interval except 1 Minute it will change the image twice, 10 seconds before the on the minute of which one I have set it to use. Never used 6 Hour or 1 Day setting.

Hi, not a solution as such, but I've chosen to use a free 3rd party wallpaper changer 'Wally' which can use pics from a variey of sources from my own folder to on line sources. I've set it to change on log on and then exit the program. It can change the picture at intervals too.

The last thing I need is something else to add as my PC is slow enough.

In Settings the choices are very limited. Although you can no longer find Personalisation in Control Panel, the old Win7-style version is still there in 20H2....

See if that works any better for you, or read the rest of that thread to see where you can set the time directly in the registry.

Have you tried selecting a number of images you want to set for a background in file explorer then right click and set as desktop background. I've not tried it myself but I know it used to work in 7.
