In case you don't know the following command:
GSV Spooler|Select RequiredServices, DependentServices
It will show the services needed by Spooler and the services dependent on Spooler.

The above Chinese article says that disabling "DNS Client" can prevent cyber-attacks, protecting privacy.
Thanks Matthew,
It is the knock on affect ofDisabling
aService
that can be MORE important than theService
itself.
I did initially look at theDNS Client
. ItsDependencies
are theNetwork Store Interface Service
and theNetwork Connectivity Assistant
. The FIRST one has a further DOZEN or moreDependants
, which is one of the reasons that it wasEXCLUDED
in myProject
.
The following services are absent from my Windows 10 Version 20H2.
Computer Browser
Help and Support
HomeGroup Listener
HomeGroup Provider
Multimedia Class Scheduler
Tablet PC Input Service
Windows CardSpace
Windows Live Sign-in Assistant
Do they exist on your Windows 10?
AMENDMENT:
I know it has been a while, but I thought that I wouldUpdate
this thread for anybody following it as I came across a problem, well sort of.
Although the below doesNOT
affect things, if you goto . . .
>Control Panel > System > System Protection > System Protection
[ Tab ]
. . . under theProtection Settings
, it will constantly show asSearching
[ if you used my Script Commands ] . . .
To correct this, you will need to change theServices
Script Commands to . . .
Code:sc start swprv >nul & sc config swprv start=demand sc start VSS >nul & sc config VSS start=demand
swprv = Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider
VSS = Volume Shadow Copy
. . . ThenSign Out
andSign In
and it will work.
This system error can happen when clicking 'Phone' or 'Privacy' in 'Windows-Settings' if the 'Microsoft Store-Installation service' is disabled. This service should at least be set Manual.SystemSettings.exe - System Error
The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this
application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious
user to gain control of this application.
I noticed that behaviour after installing the November update kb5032189.
