    theming issues?

    Anyone use any theme patcher like UltraUXthemepatcher or UXthemepatcher? I have had to reinstall windows using 21H1 builds 3 times in 2 weeks cause of issues(green screens, crazy wierd issues etc) anyway i couldnt get theming to work at all. Then I realized when I reinstalled windows i chose my SSD the C: Drive that windows was installed oon originally but somehow it loaded it onto a different HDD drive wiping out 5000 pdfs I had..SMH. Anyway I fixed that issue by reinstalling to my SSD and fixing partition issues. However when I tried theming again it worked immediately. So my guess is htis type of theming has severe issues on HDDs? Anyone else having an issue applying themes to an HDD?

    I don't have a issues regarding on appling themes in an hard disk drive. I'm usually using my custom-made themepacks and I'm not using a applications that patchs my themes. And also I'm not an insider.
    You can try this steps:
    1 is don't use any external apps;
    Or 2 is use Stable Windows.

    I downgraded and installed build 2004 and I am staying on build 2004, I disabled all Windows update services etc. This build is error free and runs like butter. I don't have all the time in the world to keep clean installing every week, lol.

    21H1: - there's even an iso download link here apart from Insider previews...
    Windows 10 21H1 now available for commercial pre-release validation

    Hard to imagine if this was a clean install as clean installs are to unallocated space, unless as you suggest there were problems on your disk.

    Some recommend precautionary measures- only having the system disk in place/ accessible when installing Windows.

    Theming - as your system disk is (meant to be!) your SSD, I don't understand how theming could possibly impact other disks.

    I have had to reinstall windows using 21H1 builds 3 times in 2 weeks
    How can you often avoid clean installing Windows? Especially when hacking/ modifying/ or just routinely using Windows, as is endlessly recommended here, use disk imaging.

    Given a set of disk images of different dates (e.g. base + 3 differential images gives you 4 different dates) you can restore an imaged partition to as it was when imaged, saving time and stress. All partitions comprising your O/S whould be imaged as a minimum- e.g. using Macrium Reflect (free).

    @dalchina is correct. Do not use clean install, use a disk imaging program.
