How do I Auto run command prompt as administrator already on taskbar?

How do I automatically run the command prompt as administrator every time, if its already pinned to the taskbar?

I searched the forums on this one and found lots of posts close to but not exactly the question I asked above.

    Thank you

No sure what you mean by automatically? When do you want this to happen?

Do you mean Right-Click and then Run as Administrator?

When I click on the command prompt that is now pinned on my taskbar, I want it to go immediately into administrator mode. I have this on my laptop and I want to get it to work that way on my wife's PC that I am setting up.

    Thanks!

    Have a look at this . . .

    > To Always Run as Administrator in Shortcut Advanced Properties

    I hope this helps.

Follow the link Paul posted to create a new Command Prompt shortcut with admin, then drag it to your taskbar and that should do it for you.

Unfortunately for @bobhurd while you can create a shortcut on your desktop to launch an admin command prompt, you cannot pin a shortcut to the taskbar.

I open a Command Prompt as Administrator then right-click that icon on the Taskbar and choose Pin to taskbar.

    Excellent news.

Perhaps you could share which solution worked for you so that anyone with the same problem coming across this thread can also benefit.

    Thanks.
