How do I Auto run command prompt as administrator already on taskbar?

I created a command prompt shortcut on my desktop. Then I went to properties, then the Advanced tab and checked "Run as Administrator". This was all on the desktop so far. Then I pinned that onto the taskbar and deleted the desktop shortcut. So at that point, I had a command prompt on the task bar that had Admin privileges.

PS The registry tweak (Item 11 in the tutorial) did not work in my case.

I made the regedits as instructed and typed them in carefully and I still didn't have Admin privileges. So I thought maybe I need to reboot then that will get it to work. Nope. Didn't work for me. So the other method I described above did and I was happy about that.

I don't mind clicking the UAC. I do mind having to click Run as administrator every time I open a command prompt.
That's the problem that was solved here. Thank you and the others, of course, for helping me get this to work!

Sure you can. I just did it now and have done it in the past. Dragging it is equivalent to pinning the shortcut on the taskbar.
