Windows start search - change browser and search

Hello, is there any way to change Windows 10 start search so that instead of results opening with Edge and Bing, could be other browser and other search engine? I tried to google this and some people suggested search deflector program. I tried it, but it's not working.

If Edge Deflector isn't working, there may be nothing you can do.

You've not answered the forum question about your build number, so bear in mind Edge has itself been replaced in late builds- another change for hacks to cope with.

However see this recent blog by the author:

and the reference to people who claim it doesn't work

How to STOP/DELETE the new EDGE Browser ?

    - reflected by MajorGeeks I believe:
    Download EdgeDeflector - MajorGeeks

Sorry, I forgot about build mentioning. I'm not home right now and I don't remember which build I have, but I keep my Windows up to dated. Search deflector worked only from the beginning, I just didn't check "always use this app" and second time when I tried to search it again started launching Edge and using bing.

I made it work. Seems like I needed to do this:

Change the default protocol handler in Windows settings. Open Settings > Apps > Default apps > Choose default apps by protocol. Scroll down to MICROSOFT-EDGE, click the Edge (or plus icon) to the right of it. Select launcher.exe.

Yes, I think that's mentioned in what I quoted.
