Software to make user image blend into login screen?

I often like to set a nice image for my lock and login screens, and then create a user image from the same background so that the user image blends in seamlessly on the login screen, essentially like the user image isn't even there. Since this involves cropping a circle out of just the right part of the background and then darkening the user image just right, it's a pain and I've only done it a few times.

I very seriously doubt the answer is "Yes", but are there any applications that do this automatically? I can't believe I'm the only person who likes doing this.

Probably much easier to do this:

Thanks! I didn't realize that was an option. I tend to avoid solutions that can be undone with SFC, but I'll make an exception here.

I noticed that Microsoft has a typo in the Group Policy editor:

Note: The default account picture is stored at %PROGRAMDATA%\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\user.jpg.
The correct file is of course "%ProgramData%\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\user-192.png".
