well, I shut down computer and restarted and my web page and word page are still white not sage. Guess my computer refuses to do it, or I have no luck with technology?
Anything else I could try please, or any downloads that would bring back classic colors.
    Thanks, Betta

It will only affect the window background color of the example windows in the tutorial. No guarantee for other windows.

Do you see the color change for these at least?

you can change the background color of Microsoft words background main window inside the program itself, and if you want to change ALL you system background colors etc then I would suggest trying to do windows theming..something like this..

    Hi Betta,

I'm not exactly clear on what you're trying to accomplish, please answer a few questions to help clarify your interests.

Have you already selected Windows Colors as Dark?

Have you selected Dark theme for Edge?

    * I don't use Edge and not that familiar how it functions using Dark Mode.
All browsers behave a bit differently, I use Vivaldi with Dark Theme and Dark Reader extension. Much easier on the eyes.

This is a screenshot of Ten Forums set to Dark theme using Vivaldi also set to Dark theme.

    Betta, are the problems with bright white windows;

    1) While displaying webpages using a browser?
    2) While using browser menu windows?
    3) While using Windows apps & menus?
    4) While using third party apps?

And thanks for pointing out that the Word 'Dark theme setting' doesn't automatically change the docs from the blinding white background. That's always been a peeve of mine because I have everything that can be set to Dark mode.

This link gives directions on fixing Word docs so that they're any color you choose. If you select a black background, be sure to follow the next section of changing the font color such that it contrasts suitably and to your preference.

I'm now very pleased to have Word docs that no longer blind me during the evening hours.
