To return your favour here is a tip to automate your screen brightness. If your laptop/pc doesn't have a light sensor inside it. I use an android tablet with docking capability as a smart home controller. It usually sits on my desk docked and I use it to automate things across my PC, Android and other smart devices. You can leverage your android phone's light sensor to adjust automatically the brightness of your PC's screen. Here is a well-written guide on how to sync Windows and Android for automation.

Thanks, that looks interesting. I'll put that in the 'fun PC stuff' pile until I find more time.

After all these years with Windows 10 I have now the first time a problem with SysTray.

I want to define which running programs icons are shown in Systray and/or which should show only notifications with hidden SysTray icon.

When I remember it right there was a link "Customize" at the bottom of the Systray which (when clicked) led me to a dialog where I can setup all the Systray icons.

This link is surprisingly vanished :-(
Maybe I have accidentally changed something.

How can I get it back?

You can right-click on the Taskbar, select Taskbar settings then look in the Notn area subheading - Select which icons appear on the Taskbar.

    Ok, thank you.

But this allows my only to setup which icons appear in the Taskbar DIRECTLY
However there is a Systray subpane which appears where I click on the ARROW UP link left of Systray.

How can I define which icons should appear in Systray subpane (and not in Taskbar directly)?

It sets up which appear on the Taskbar and which appear in the up arrow bit.
    - Turned on, they appear in the Taskbar.
    - Turned off, they appear in the up arrow bit.
