    Remove Recycle Bin and Control Panel from Navigation pane

    Hello
    I want to remove these icons:
    Remove Recycle Bin and Control Panel from Navigation pane-2021-02-13-13_28_17-browse-files-folders.png
    I tried changing the Attributes from these reg addresses for removing Recycle Bin:
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\ShellFolder]
    "Attributes"=dword:b090010d

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Classes\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\ShellFolder]
    "Attributes"=dword:b090010d
    It worked But Recycle Bin removed from Desktop too. So Is there a way to remove these icons from the Navigation pane while holding the Recycle Bin on the desktop?

    I also tried the following option But its only removes Recycle Bin while Show all folder is off:

    I don't think you can, without wiping out the default Desktop Icons as well.

    So can you help me to remove Control Panel even with wiping out the default Desktop icons ? As i said i can remove Recycle Bin with changing the Attributes. But it seems not work for Control Panel, changing Attributes just removes Duplicate of control panel:
    Code:
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{5399E694-6CE5-4D6C-8FCE-1D8870FDCBA0}\ShellFolder]
    "Attributes"=dword:b090010d

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Classes\CLSID\{5399E694-6CE5-4D6C-8FCE-1D8870FDCBA0}\ShellFolder]
    "Attributes"=dword:b090010d

    I also tried to delete all of these Control Panel reg addresses but it didnt make a difference.

    Here's how my explorer opens (when I click on the desktop shortcut)

    Remove Recycle Bin and Control Panel from Navigation pane-capture1.png

    Indeed, I have the "Show All Folders" option off. If I turn it on, Windows will add more folders to the left pane. None of them are useful to me - in addition to another "Desktop" and as you say recycle Bin, I get the empty USB drives. So I keep this option off and have a clean look. To make it the way it looks I just used the Tutorials.

    Is there any reason you want the "Show All Folders" to be on? Looks like a totally useless option to me.

    Why not just pin every desired folder to Quick Access and forget the rest?

    As you can see from the screenshot, I don't even have Quick Access. That's because I want explorer to show the actual folder structure and not some artificial link construction. Moreover, why limit yourself to the few "desired" folders? The way I set it up, any additional drive I might turn on (I have other hard drives that I don't use very often and so keep powered down when not in use) will just neatly sit below drive D. If I keep the default mess, I'll have to search for them in the midst of useless links.
