How to keep screen active while transparent screensaver is ON?

A lot of the work I do involves watching processes go from 0% to 100%. I need to keep screens ON and active to monitor the progress and maybe make a few clicks here and there, but at the same time I'd like to protect my monitors/TVs.

Is there any way to achieve this? For example, enabling the 'Bubbles' screensaver (transparent mode) and working at the same time?

I primarily use Win10x64 (2004) but a solution that also works for Win7 would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

Given that most if not all screensavers terminate after receiving a message from the OS that your mouse has been moved or key pressed, I'd be interested in knowing how it can be done

    Gus,

    You don't need to.

You are thinking of protection which was relevant a couple of decades ago.

To add, that 'protection' back in the CRT/Cathode Ray Tube days with monitors was to prevent the coating on the inner side of the glass from getting "burn in" from data always displayed, the screen savers refreshed/wiped the coating to prevent that. As @Try3 said, it's not necessary for the newer monitors. TVs didn't need a screen saver as the display constantly changed. The Windows display of data is dynamic, not static like a picture on the wall, is always redrawing/refreshing.

    Transparent Screen Lock

Have a look into Transparent Screen Lock It works for Windows 7 and 10 but you will not be able to interact with the system while it is running.

Wallpaper Engine - you can use any preset or create your own, just rename .scr to .exe

I'm sorry but neither of these fulfil the OP's stated requirements,

whereas doing nothing does fulfil them.

I like post #7 and the backup from #4.

There is nothing to "protect" in the old classical sense. Unless you've managed to connect a CRT to your laptop.
