True..I 'll hang on and see if Brink or FreeBoot have any clarifications on how to run these scripts in Safe Mode.

At least we've managed to "silence" the alarms as getting 70 reports each one with a very annoying ring is no small feat at all...

    A big "Thank you"..

You're welcome. My personal view- this has nothing to do with it failing in Safe Mode. Others have reported that too as we've seen- which is why I asked the question thinking it might not.

error 0x80073002: Unable to install because the following apps need to be closed

    is quite commonly reported.

It might even be a bug in your insider build, being reported for so many apps.

Try the Store apps troubleshooter and see what it says:
Run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter in Windows 10

Note that if an app has been uninstalled, then the result of trying to reregister it for the current account is this:
Add-AppxPackage : Cannot find path 'C:\AppxManifest.xml' because it does not exist.
    At line:1 char:86
    + ... fest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manife ...

    + CategoryInfo : ObjectNotFound: (C:\AppxManifest.xml:String) [Add-AppxPackage], ItemNotFoundException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : PathNotFound,Microsoft.Windows.Appx.PackageManager.Commands.AddAppxPackageCommand

    Re-set Store, still no joy

Hello, just to let you know I've reset the Store a few times, no joy.
In the meantime, my computer today upgraded to Windows 10, version 20180 (Dev ring).

Prior to re-setting the Store, I 've noticed that many Themes were actually installed as Apps (I had deleted them from the Themes page, but when I went to Settings/Apps page, I've seen many of those deleted themes appearing in the Apps list.

I thought this was strange, can't see why a theme downloaded from the Theme repository of Store would go in the list of Apps (I would expect to only see them in the Settings/Personalisation/Themes page).

Still, I deleted the installation of all themes that were listed in Settings/Apps. I reset Store, restarted the computer, opened Store again, downloaded one of the purchased themes, and the error returned (nearly 70-80 reports).

I deleted the theme from Settings/Apps, the error went away again.

So as it stands, in order to have no errors each time I open Settings/Personalisation/Themes page is to leave it as is with the Microsoft default themes and 2-3 more that for yet another strange reason their presence there does not raise error reports...

For reference here is a screenshot with themes that do NOT trigger error reports.

    Thanks a lot!
    Christos
