Screensaver keeps turning itself off.

I don't like having to turn off my monitor. My screensaver is turning off for some reason. Can I get some help?

Could you clarify what you mean when you say that it is turning off? Does it stay on for about a minute and then the screen goes blank? Does the lock screen background get displayed instead?

My screensaver keeps turning itself off. It keeps switching from Mystify or whatever to (None) and there's no screensaver running. I was advised in a previous thread to set turning off my monitor and sleep to never in Power Management, but it was already set that way.

Me personally do not use screen savers as no need for them now days. I just have monitors turn off at a set time of inactivity

What screensaver are you using? If you are using a third-party screensaver, try temporarily using one that comes with Windows to see if the issue is caused by that specific screensaver.

Having the same issue; research suggests it's caused by the Lock Screen, and it's an issue that's been around for at least 4 years. Posts on the official support site over the last couple years suggest they plan to do absolutely nothing about it.

So far, if your power settings don't fix it, the only way to prevent it from turning off is to change your lock screen settings.
