It was very simple and it worked.

Also I will need to choose a different style of font. I have bad eyes, and the particular font is very skinny in size. Must be a Windows 10 font, nothing I installed. It came with the computer. I have been searching all morning trying to find how to chose a different font.

How can I change the desktop font?
Just a heads up if you need it. All good suggestions post, including Winaero (my favorite), but a word of caution. Many times a change to the System font default will result in the clock display on the taskbar showing a small box instead of the colon as the hh:mm:ss separater.

Here's the fix, post #9 in this thread.

As suggested by f14Tomcat above you might want to be careful about changing system font.

Personally I use Winaero and Iconoid to change font sizes and colours and leave the system font alone. Seems to work fine if you change icon, menu, message, and title bar font sizes. Here is my desktop with font sizes at 14 on icons and menus and 28 on title bars. Iconoid is set to a light gray (200, 200, 200)
