How to change the < icon

Ok so I wanted to change the > icon you know the > icon let me show you It though if you dont know what im talking about

This........ This little icon Right here. When i first saw it I didnt like So i wanted to change it only problem is....... Ive searched For 5 hours straight to no avail
I CANT FIND A WAY every post keeps telling me to go to the "customize menu" and change the folder icon or program icon BUT IM NOT TRYING TO CHANGE A PROGRAM.., OR FOLDER OR EVEN SHORTCUT i just wanna change that one icon if anybody and i mean anybody could help me that would be life saving

Im running windows 10 1909

I don't believe that this is something that can be customized. It's a standard UI element indicating continuation of the path to the right but is an indication that, unlike a simple backslash separator, you can click on the greater than sign to open a drop-down allowing you to select an item there to switch the current context. When you click the arrow changes direction to point down to the items in the drop-down list.

That is almost an industry-wide standard for displaying a hierarchical tree. The right-arrow indicates a branch that can be opened to show sub-levels, the down-arrow shows it has been opened. Click on the arrow icon to toggle between opened/closed. No arrow means there are no lower levels to see.

You'll see it used everywhere, not just Windows....



... but in Linux too.

Probably with great difficulty. Those are such fundamental internationally recognised icons that they are probably built into the code of any OS that uses them.

Anyway, what meaningful pair of icons would you replace them with?

Highly unlikely this is an icon. Almost certainly it is a text character whose value is hard coded in the program. Characters scale well to different sizes with no loss in quality while icons do not scale nearly as well. Windows does this in other places for the same reason.

This was not meant to be changed. There is much in Windows that can be changed but there is also a great deal that cannot. The ability to customize is good but there has to be limits.
